12 Steps for Educators

We often feel that we have to control and be responsible for so much as teachers. Yet, there is so much outside of our control that we really can't do that much about. Taking on too much worry and concern can sometimes lead us to feeling exhausted, burnt out and ineffective. This interesting take on the 12 steps is a nice reminder to recognize the things that we cannot control and to give ourselves some compassion and care:

Thank you to all of the folks who came to the Math Evening and brought their enthusiasm, creativity and willingness to try all sorts of exciting math problems!


Participants made their way around the room to try out different math problems and activities and to share what they had learned. 
Guest Speaker Richard Hoshino from Quest University in Squamish leads the audience through a series of simpler questions that can be extrapolated to solve much more complex problems.
